Overview
Earl Blaik's Army teams of 1944-46, led by Heisman winners Doc Blanchard ('Mr. Inside') and Glenn Davis ('Mr. Outside'), are claimed as three straight national champions, and Pete Dawkins added a third Heisman in 1958. Under Jeff Monken the triple-option Black Knights returned to national relevance, winning the American Athletic Conference title in their 2024 debut season. The Army-Navy Game is one of the sport's great traditions.
