The program
Overview
Frank Beamer, head coach from 1987 to 2015, transformed Virginia Tech into a perennial contender known for 'Beamer Ball' special teams. Michael Vick led the 1999 Hokies to an undefeated regular season and the national title game, and the program won four ACC titles after joining the conference in 2004. Lane Stadium's entrance to Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' is a signature tradition.
