The program
Overview
Wisconsin's modern success traces to Barry Alvarez, who took over a struggling program in 1990 and won three Rose Bowls. The Badgers are known for powerful offensive lines and running backs, including Heisman winners Alan Ameche (1954) and Ron Dayne (1999), who set the then-FBS career rushing record. Camp Randall Stadium's 'Jump Around' before the fourth quarter is a celebrated tradition.
