The program

Overview

Houston has a history of offensive innovation, from Bill Yeoman's veer option to the run-and-shoot that produced 1989 Heisman winner Andre Ware. Case Keenum later set NCAA career passing records, and Tom Herman's 2015 team won the Peach Bowl. The Cougars joined the Big 12 in 2023.
